​Day 83: Well, we are in Paraparaumu. We spent a bit of the morning walking along the beach to get in town. 

While Maria enjoys a massage, I watch The Patriots in the Superbowl. Being a New Englandahhh! I have to watch the superbowl ! I was lucky I found a tavern that would put the Superbowl on for me. There was a little resistance at first from a couple of local rugby fan’s but by halftime we were all rooting for Tom Brady and The Patriots, and then with the game over and The Patriots with another superbowl win!! The day was finished with laughs and jokes and a couple beer salutes.

Day 84: We stay another day, enjoying the rest and a walk at the beach without backpacks.

Tag 83: Wir sind jetzt in Paraparaumu. Um den Ort zu erreichen laufen wir morgens ein gutes Stück am Strand entlang.
Während Maria sich massieren lässt, schaue ich mir die Patriots beim Superbowl an. Being a New Englandahhh! Ich muss einfach den Superbowl sehen! Zum Glück finde ich eine Bar, die das Spiel für mich auf einem der Fernseher überträgt. Zuerst gibt es zwar etwa Widerstand von den hiesigen Rugby-Fans, aber mit der Halbzeit feuern bereits alle Tom Brady und die Patriots an. Dann ist das Spiel vorbei und The Patriots sind mal wieder Gewinner des Superbowls. Der Tag endet mit Gelächter, Witzen und einigen Bier.

Tag 84: Wir bleiben noch einen Tag, geniessen die Ruhezeit und spazieren ohne Rucksäcke am Strand entlang
